Born in California\, G. Leigh Lyons \;spent the first decades of his formative years growing up in Venezuela\, Ecuador and Iran. He spent the next thirty years as a geologist and business executive\, becoming an alumnus of Harvard Business School in the meantime. Leigh&rsquo\;s career took him and his family to live in many foreign countries\, including Bolivia\, Argentina and Mexico. He drew from these experiences and adventures for his Avery McShane stories.
