She lives with her husband and their labradoodle in Shelburne\, Vermont.\nRachel Levine-Spates graduated from the University of Vermont and received her EdM from the Harvard Graduate School of Education. She is the director of student well-being and social emotional learning at St. George's Independent School in Germantown\, Tennessee.
