The title embodies the tension between resilience and uncertainty\, a reminder that to endure is often to doubt and yet to keep going. \nJeffrey Hanson received a PhD in English and Creative Writing from Ohio University. After teaching for 25 years\, he retired and moved to Washington State. Much of his poetry is autobiographical. After working at construction and doing six years in the Navy\, he began his college career at 31. He has recently published a book\, Doubtful Stamina.
