Community Boating Center Announces Navigators’ Night: Raise the Sails, A Fundraiser for Our Fleet

Bellingham, WA – The Community Boating Center (CBC) invites the community to come aboard for our annual Navigators’ Night: Raise the Sails, A Fundraiser for Our Fleet. Come enjoy an evening of celebration, storytelling, and collective action. The event will be held on Wednesday, November 6th, from 5-8 PM, in the upstairs Dome Room of the Bellingham Cruise Terminal, 355 Harris Ave, Fairhaven.

Navigators’ Night is more than just a gala. It’s a joyful gathering of neighbors, sailors, students, and supporters who believe in the power of water to transform lives. This year’s event highlights the CBC’s urgent need for fleet investment. Our aging fleet needs critical upgrades so that more boaters from every walk of life can learn & thrive, and to ensure that everyone will have safe access to Bellingham Bay in years to come.

Guests will enjoy:

• Locally sourced cuisine from Calypso Kitchen and Drayton Harbor Oyster Co
• Delicious beverages from local producers, including Aslan beer, Lost Giants Cider, Best Day NA beer, and more
• Live music and nautical-inspired décor that brings the waterfront indoors
• Stories from the water, featuring young sailors, boating participants, and community partners

The evening will feature Raise the Sails, an interactive paddle raise woven into storytelling, highlighting urgent needs such as critical spares for the fleet, boat upgrades, and scholarships. Guests will also participate in a raffle for three major prizes!

“Navigators’ Night is our way of bringing the community together to celebrate what we’ve accomplished and chart the course ahead,” said Bryan Rust, Executive Director. “Every story told and every dollar raised directly supports safe access to the water and the boats that make our mission possible.”
